John Duty begins year with top-5 finish at Salem Indoor

John Duty got behind the wheel for the first time in several months on Saturday when he went kart racing at Salem Indoor Speedway (Salem, Oregon).

Competing in the Winebarger class, Duty drove his No. 5 machine to fifth in his first heat race but did not finish the second, registering a sixth-place result.

He started the 20-lap A-Main from the seventh spot and came home fourth, taking the checkered flag behind Victor Nash, Scott Winebarger and Collen Winebarger. Skyler Winebarger rounded out the top five.
