Justin Duty eighth in Lucas Oil run at Wheatland
On Tuesday evening, Justin Duty and his Double Duty Motorsports team were among team 32 entrants for the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) stop at Davenport Speedway (Davenport, Iowa).
Duty finished eighth in his heat and snuck into the 40-lap main event via a sixth-place finish in his B-Feature. With $10,000 on the line, Duty started his First Class Septic No. 15 Late Model 22nd on the quarter-mile oval.
He advanced seven spots to nab a 15th-place result in a stout LOLMDS field.
Back in action on Saturday, Duty headed to Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.) as the prestigious facility hosted the co-sanctioned CMH Diamond Nationals. Drawing a field of 40 cars made up of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series (LOLMDS) and Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) competitors, Justin timed in fifth-fastest in his group before placing third in his heat. Chasing a $15,000 payday in the feature, Duty inched forward one spot in the 50-lap affair to finish eighth.
