Justin Duty invades Wheatland for MLRA Spring Nationals
Justin Duty returned to the driver’s seat of his Don Frank Floors No. 15 Late Model for the two-day MLRA Spring Nationals at Lucas Oil Speedway (Wheatland, Mo.).
Drawing a stacked field of 48 Lucas Oil Midwest Late Model Racing Association (MLRA) entries, Duty took part in time trials but a broken fan blade in his heat race pierced a hole in his radiator and forced him to retire.
The following night, Justin’s eighth-to-sixth showing in his heat race relegated him into a B-Main for another shot at the $10,000-to-win A-Main. Needing to place third or better to make the show, Duty charged forward three positions but missed a transfer spot by one car with a fourth-place outing.
