John Duty visits victory lane in second night out
Just one week after making his first start in over three years, John Duty bested the competition at Oregon’s Willamette Speedway in his Don Frank Floors No. X Rocket Chassis/ Pro Power Racing Engines Super Late Model.
“I guess you could say I shook the rust off last week, and this week that allowed us to get the win,” Duty shared. “The past few years I’ve been busy with work, and haven’t got to race, but hopefully I’ll get more chances the last part of this year. We’re looking forward to going after the $5,000 top prize at Willamette (Speedway) this Saturday.”
After a successful outing a week prior in his first start in three years, John Duty returned to Willamette Speedway (Lebanon, Ore.) on Saturday evening for a Weekly Racing Series Event.
With 16 Late Models entered, Duty topped the charts in time trials with a 14.664-second lap before placing sixth in his heat. Winning by more than a four-second margin in the feature, John raced to his first win of the season, which came over Mark Thompson, Bryan Norton, Jordan Wright, and B.J. Donofrio.
